In the final stretch of your studies, or looking for a regular internship? At Innico you work on a topic we're seriously considering building into the product already running in production at customers. You get a real problem, access to real data and users, and guidance from the team making the decisions.
We're flexible about the exact research question: the ideas below are inspiration, not a fixed list. What matters most to us is that you research something you genuinely find interesting and that meets your university's requirements. If a nice piece of product comes out of it, that's a welcome bonus, not the goal.
A few ideas
Software
- Global search and an AI ask feature. Build a search bar that lets a planner or account manager ask a plain-language question about customers, forecasts or pricing agreements, and get the right answer or screen immediately, without hallucinating numbers that don't exist.
- Explainability in the forecasting algorithm. The forecast is pre-filled based on history, seasonality and sales' own input. Design a way to show why a number is what it is, so a planner can tell at a glance which deviation deserves attention.
Marketing and design
- One coherent design system. Bring existing branding, UI components and the writing style guide together into one documented system, so new content and features look and read consistent by default.
- Feature highlight campaign. Set up a recurring content format that spotlights one feature of the app at a time, for LinkedIn and the website, aimed at both new leads and customers who aren't using a feature yet.
- Tutorial knowledge base. Build a help centre with articles and short screen recordings covering the core workflows, so users at customers can help themselves instead of calling support every time.
Business
- Smarter replenishment advice. Order advice today looks at stock, open orders and the forecast. Research how to make it more accurate and intuitive, for example by factoring in lead times and minimum order quantities, without turning it into a heavyweight system.
- Gap evaluation: what's missing. Map out what functionality customers, the team and the market are missing from Innico, and come with a substantiated recommendation for what to build next.
